Our Board of Directors

PRESIDENT

Geoff Heller

Geoff Heller is a fifth-generation Colorado local who was born and raised in the small farming community of Del Norte. Geoff was extremely fortunate to be raised on two wheels often trying to keep up with his Dad at an early age. He learned the importance of trail clearing and maintenance while in Del Norte and has spent countless hours in the mountains carrying a chainsaw and maintaining motorized singletrack trails.  Geoff moved into the Gunnison Valley after graduating from the Colorado School of Mines and still loves the beauty of a freshly cleared trail. When not on a dirt bike, Geoff can be found with his wife and two children enjoying the outdoors on mountain bikes and snowboards. Geoff hopes to bring a renewed teamwork mentality to the Gunnison G.O.A.Ts in working with the local mountain bike clubs, US Forest Service and BLM to preserve high-quality singletrack and ensure the future of motorized use in the Gunnison Valley.

STOKE LEADER

Seth Weiner

I came up to Gunnison in the late 80's and, through my sales position at the local motorcycle shop, became active in protecting my passion, riding motorized singe track. I am also an avid backcountry enthusiast that enjoys snowboarding, snowbiking and snowmobiling.

I recently started adventure bike riding and I am really enjoying exploring parts of the Gunnison Valley that I did not know existed.

I'm super stoked to be working with such great people in the G.O.A.Ts organization, helping to keep the dream alive through supporting multiple use.

NEW BOARD MEMBER in 2025!

David Vasquez

Growing up in California, I developed an early passion for two-wheeled adventures riding BMX and mountain bikes. A 2020 visit to Crested Butte for mountain biking quickly turned into a deeper connection with the trails and community, ultimately leading me to relocate here in 2022. June of 2022, I purchased my very first dirt bike and discovered an entirely new way to experience trail riding, further fueling my lifelong love for riding singletrack. My fascination with riding trails and the access they provide has inspired me to give back. I believe in preserving access for all user groups and ensuring that the next generation can enjoy the same freedom and connection to the outdoors that has helped shape my life.

NEW BOARD MEMBER in 2025!

Robin Buza

Originally from Alaska, Robin relocated to the Gunnison Valley to attend Western Colorado University. A lifelong skier, Crested Butte was a natural fit. However, it wasn’t long before she discovered the beauty and adventure of Colorado summers, leading her to explore mountain biking.

Her interest in dirt biking began as a long-standing curiosity and eventually turned into a full-blown passion when she purchased her first bike—a 1978 Yamaha DT 175. Since then, Robin has own several bikes over the past 15 years, deepening her connection to the sport.

Robin is especially drawn to the freedom and adventure that dirt biking offers, along with the camaraderie and time spent with friends in the mountains. She’s passionate about building a more inclusive dirt biking community and actively mentors women to get involved. After years of supporting GOATS events, Robin is excited to step into a board member role.
